Animal Magic Pet Grooming (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at animalmagicgrooming.com.au and the grooming salon at 49 Cypress Drive, Broadbeach Waters QLD 4218. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry. Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, phone number, your pet’s name and breed, and whatever you write in the message. We collect only what you choose to give us.

When you book. Online bookings are handled by MoeGo, a third party booking system. Information you enter there is collected and stored by MoeGo under their own privacy policy, not ours. We receive the booking details they pass to us.

When you visit the salon. We keep records of your pet, including breed, coat type, grooming history, any behavioural notes and your preferred styling, so we can look after them properly on return visits.

When you browse this website. Our web server records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiries, take and confirm bookings, contact you when your pet is ready for collection, keep accurate grooming records, and run and improve this website. We may also contact you about your pet’s care where it is relevant to a booking.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

We use a small number of service providers who handle information on our behalf: MoeGo for online bookings, Google for our email, and Bluehost for website hosting. Each holds information only so we can operate. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the welfare of an animal.

Cookies

This website uses cookies, which are small files stored by your browser. They are used to keep the site working properly and to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

Photographs

We sometimes photograph pets we have groomed, and may use those photographs on our website or social media. We do not publish your name or contact details alongside them. If you would rather we did not photograph your pet, tell us and we will note it on your record.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, but access to our records is limited to staff who need it to do their job.

How long we keep it

We keep client and pet records for as long as you remain a client, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as we need them.

Accessing or correcting your information

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
